I have always been taught that the best way to practice your side kicks, is to hold on to something and slowly extend your leg out, hold the side kick for a few seconds, re-chamber it and then relaxing. Does anyone else have any other methods of training their side kicks? Get involed

That's how I started out and it definitely helps - I've 'graduated' to doing it without holding onto anything now. If I'm simply trying to strengthen the leg though I find I can do more if I hold onto something, so I still do that sometimes. Ah i've seen his tutorials before, he's a madman!
I think my main issue is with flexibility, should probably find some intense stretch routines.
Know of any?
